Highly agreed on all points, except that I'm dying to see it again! To me, it was a movie about power, and the naked exercise of power. If you want to show someone that you have power over them and compel them to obey you, you shove them right in the mud. I was wondering afterwards why I trusted this movie so much to handle sex work as a major theme, and I think it's because it strips away all the obscuring rationalizations from power and deals with it very plainly.
