I loved God's Own Country, and based on Lee alone I'd be crazy excited for this; I'll admit that I cannot quite find it in myself to be weary of any trope in the lesbian period piece genre (it's its own genre!) as of yet, though as always in the costume drama corner (or really any Hollywood corner) I am eagerly looking out for non-white and non-cis actors and characters. (I can think of Colette re: non-cis characters, though of yet I can't think of any big-screen historic lesbians of color; I can only hope I'm just not thinking of someone.)
