I read Camryn Garret's Full Disclosure when it came out back in 2019, and it's obviously not even slightly like Kushner, I remember thinking, "Oh, this is part of a new kind of HIV/AIDS art."
Also, have you read Isaac Butler's and Dan Kois' The World Only Spins Forward: The Ascent of Angels in America? Phenomenal book, that.
